18th - 22nd February 1998

Wednesday 18th February
My Monday!  Work was full of grumpy people today - everyone had a complaint.  By the time I came back from work Claire, James and Jon had gone to Vancouver to watch the Grizzlies on a Dusty's trip.

Thursday 19th February
Woke up last night due to the boys comings in. And this morning by Andy dancing to The Full Monty.  I called Mum and Dad this morning too.  Work was OK.  It's quite stressful as we're short-staffed.  I bought a highlighting kit which at this moment is being done by Jon pulling strands through a cap.  I was going to go to bed early tonight too but it's 11:20pm already and I haven't even put the dye on yet.  Now Rich is having a go.  I even bought some proper food today, including meet and veg.  I eventually stayed up until 1:30am.  It took ages to pull out all my bits of hair then half-an-hour to slap the stuff on and then I had to wash it out.  And of course I couldn't go to bed without seeing the end (dry) result.
It did look a bit blonder.

Friday 20th February
Hair looked really dry today - the result of the dye.  But it did look a bit blonder.  Speak to Scottish bloke at Bus Stop "Hello".  No-one at work noticed my hair although Rosemary said something looked different about me.  Work was really tiring - calculator woman came back and was given her money and basically told to "f" off.  The day just generally dragged.  I decided to make myself a curry for tea and started it as soon as I was home.  I started my dinner and then James invited me with Claire to this girls house, Helen, for dinner.  I'd been dreaming about my curry for so long that I declined.  Jamie called from the lads house and invited everyone to Merlin's, I said I'd probably be there later and meet Claire and James too.  Katy and I turned up at 10:30pm and there was no-one to be seen.  So we went to every bar and couldn't find them.  We met Rich, Jon and Justin and went to Rogue Wolf for a hat-check and a pin - then onto Maxxfish.  There was a line-up there - one in one out - so we went to Savage Beagle and then went home!

Saturday 21st February
I found it incredibly hard to get up this morning, resulting in having to get up and take my coffee with me.  I stocked shelves all day and it didn't drag as much as I thought it would.  Novella's bloke Mike and his brother met us after work and they gave me a lift home on their way to Squamish.  I also got the see their house.  I cooked again this evening, Spag-Bol, I'd forgotten how good it was with meat.  I called Aaron after dinner and it really cheered me up.  It looks like he isn't going to Winnipeg in May - so hopefully I'll get to see him again.  He may be going to Hong Kong to get married though.  We had a really good chat and I find I really miss him.  I cleaned the kitchen and am now having an early night - first time in weeks.  Babs found a pass in a room at the Chateau today - so I've booked Rob for a ski lesson on Monday and think I'll try Darren on Tuesday.  My Friday tomorrow!

Sunday 22nd February
3 of us were woken in the night by Catherine's snoring, in the end Katy punched her.  Everyone was up quite early as everyone was on up the mountain.  I hung mourn and did Claire's plaits so she looked like a snowboarding chick!  Then I went to work.  On my list was clean and organise giftware section.  So I did that from 11:30-19:15.  So it wasn't that exciting.
Had quite a nice day though - I'm getting on really well with Novella and I'm getting past the attitude of Bonnie.  I met Babs as I came off the bus and she's going to the Crab shack.  I really fancy going out as it's my Friday but no one else is up for it.  They're all just knackered from skiing or boarding.  At the moment the discussion is "is black a colour or a shade?".
I'm going skiing tomorrow, but first of all I have to work out whose ski gear to borrow.
