Friday 2nd January
Slept in quite late, on the settee, got up when the telephone engineer arrived. I had a shower then we all went down to Marcia's office to take her to her bosses car so she could pick him up from the airport. Then we went to Educated Car Wash and over to Burger King to get our free fries, on free Friday! The afternoon was spent wandering the streets and pier of Santa Barbara. We got a video in the evening "One Fine Day".
Saturday 3rd January
Tidy the House Day! GTE came and fixed the phone so we had to get up at 11:30am! I spent the whole day helping Marcia unpack and set up house. I also called Aaron and he phoned me back. He is a lot happier now which made me feel quite a bit better and we had a nice talk.
We went out for dinner again and resumed unpacking, getting to bed quite late.
Sunday 4th January
Bruce was supposed to be leaving at 7am and he finally left at 11:30am. We left not long after and made our way to LA. We followed the Coast road down and then onto Sunset Boulevard. We went through Westwood, where OJs from, Beverley Hills, Bel Air and then West Hollywood. We drove down Rodeo Drive and stopped just off West Hollywood. We went and saw Titanic at Mann's Chinese theatre and it was amazing. The sound system made the floor rumble. We then drove to Anaheim and parked just outside Disneyland.
Monday 5th January
Disneyland!!! Space Tours, Automania, Matterhorn Coaster, Alice, Snow White, Peter Pan, Claire and the Beast, The Tea Cups, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Pooh and friends, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Hoe Down, Railroad, Toon town, Roger Rabbit etc etc....
Very good, exhausting day. Space Mountain shut!
Drove to Santa Monica to McDonalds to sleep.
25c for toilet.
Tuesday 6th January
Pottering in Santa Monica and Venice beach. Did lots of people watching on the pier and then went into the mall and went to McDonalds for a 99c Big n Tasty, basically a Whopper. We saw all the sights including seal pups, lifeguards, muscle beach, sunset over the ocean. It was really hot and sunny, very California! We went to CBS in the evening as we had got tickets for Politically Incorrect and the Keenan Ivory Wayans show. After a lengthy discussion with a security guard we managed to find out that we could park overnight and queue for "The Price is Right".
