Wednesday 24th September
I had to do the day shift today so boredom set in. My first customer dropped their bottle of Mikes and it smashed. I just gave them another one. I don't know if I should but anyway I did. I've mopped the floor and now I'm writing this while eating a bagel. The good but maybe sad thing about working the day shift is I can watch Party of Five tonight. I wonder what the atmosphere will be like when Aaron comes in.
Well he came in and basically I feel like I've been dumped He found out that he had 3 essays that are overdue and something has to go as he has no spare time. I wasn't exactly dumped but when I thought about what he said it's the same thing and I just have to get used to it. I'm leaving next week anyway, it would just be nice to spend some time with him before we leave. I don't think he's letting us have the car again though. Work was OK and I'm doing day shift tomorrow too so I actually get a proper Thursday night out.
Claire went out in the boat with Al this afternoon and evening so I rented movies yet again. I was really looking forward to watching "Party of Five" but for some reason the cable's been taken. I rented, when I finally remembered the card, "Dead Man Walking" and "The Truth About Cats and Dogs".
Thursday 25th September
Today was pretty boring, I swapped with Clare and did the day shift so I can go out tonight. I had 20 customers in 6 hours and only $270 takings. I read half a book, "The Stone Angel" by Margaret Lawrence, stocked all the wine, cleaned the coolers and still got bored. Aaron didn't come in or call, as yet, I called him although I was loathed to. There was no answer so I left a message. I probably won't hear from him now until Monday.
We're going to Sin City to start with tonight and then to the bar. I expect I'll get drunk again.
I had too much; 1/2 Rockaberry, 3 honey blond ales, 1 Lucky, 2 Liquid Sex, 2 Vodka Paralysers, 2 Whiskey things. I didn't even buy them all.
I called Aaron briefly before I went out and he said he'd drop by and see me tomorrow before he goes to Vancouver.
Friday 26th September
The rain is amazing today. It is a huge storm. It has been thunder and lightening all night and all morning. I got up because Aaron was coming round but when I checked my messages he'd left one explaining that he was going to Vancouver tomorrow instead of today and so he'd see me this afternoon.
I walked in the pouring rain to the coffee pod via the post office. I wrote some letters in the pod and then walked home in an unexpected dry spell and picked up a postcard from Mum and Dad. I called Aaron at 2:30pm like he said and woke him up again. He called back in another half an hour and said he would come and pick me up. We went back to him place and had a chat. We sorted everything out and at least I finally know where I stand, which is nowhere. He's going to Vancouver tomorrow and coming back on Tuesday. I've asked him if I can go with him on Tuesday night to work, I'm not sure if he wants me to but I do.
