30th November - 3rd December 1997

Sunday 30th November
Got up exceedingly late and went to brunch at Beaver Foods.  Ate a lot.  Then I went to my first real basketball match, UNB vs Cape Breton.  We had to move the van over to Tex's and I called my Mum from there.  That evening was spent watching the X files.

Monday 1st December
Spent all morning in our pyjamas, emailing and calling people.  Bernie brought us muffins for breakfast and in the afternoon we went to take the van to get it's wheels balanced/aligned.  It started beautifully but vibrated a lot and a mile up the road was a huge clunk!  The drive shaft fell off.  A policeman appeared on the scene very quickly and radioed for a tow.
Tex had been driving past so he gave me a lift to Canadian Tire and Claire sat in Calvin keeping the wheels straight!  We put it in to the done and went to the mall.  We had our photos developed and walked around.  We went back to CT after about 3 hours and the van still hadn't been looked at.  So we walked through the snow to Tex's.  He fed us Kraft Dinner and we stayed there for ages.  Bernie had gone to an engineering do and when he came back we went to the bar.  Steph didn't hear me knock so I stayed in Bernie's room.

Tuesday 2nd December
Yet another lazy morning, weather was really bad so vegged out for the most of the day. Laundry was done and pizza for dinner.  We went to the movies and saw "The Rainmaker".  Not as good as the book but not bad.  Then home to Steph's.

Wednesday 3rd December
Got up late, yet again. Vegged some more. I got an email from Robbie saying would I be available around the 8th August as he and Andrea are getting married!
We explored downtown Fredricton and saw quite a few of the university buildings.  We photocopied out photos and Claire and Bernie picked up the van.  The early afternoon was spent sorting out photos.  We went out at about 8:30pm for Last Class Bash!
