Blue Monday.

Apparently it's Blue Monday today.  The most depressing day of the year - the third Monday of January.
I can believe it.  It has been so gloomy all day I've needed the lights on while working from home AND I had a dentist appointment.  Thankfully no dental work was needed and it was to be my last checkup as a unmarried woman.


I have a feeling there's going to be more and more of those.  


So after my good start last week of 3 blogs in one day and then don't come back for a whole week.   I did mean to - just didn't seem to have the time and energy.


Wedding plans have not moved on much since last week.  Did have a couple of things planned for the weekend but food poisoning put pay to that as I had to cancel the whole two days and spend them either in bed or on the loo! 


First to be rescheduled is visiting the pottery makers for our wedding favours.  Sounds odd doesn't it?! 
We've decided, as we have such a small reception, we would make a tea cup and saucer for each attendee with their wedding party role or name on (we may also fill with chocolate coffee beans).  This can serve as a place name AND a wedding favour for them to take away and be a souvenir.  Some time ago I searched the great wedding planners aid that is the World Wide Web and found asifbymagic.co.uk.  They design and make personalised ceramic gifts and fitted exactly what we want.  It was only after I initially contacted them that I discovered they were less than 5 miles away from us.  So now we need to visit them with our fabric samples of colours to choose exactly what we want.


Second plan for the weekend was having dinner with my friend who is also the mother of my flower girl AND just so happens to be a graphic designer.  We asked her some time ago if she could make us some invites and thankfully she agreed.  There are only 11 or so to make so hopefully it won't be too much of an overhead.  Again we know the design we want so it's just a question of seeing if she can do it and what materials etc she needs.  


Luckily neither of these were time critical so shouldn't be too hard to rearrange.  This weekend's wedding plans are second fitting of bridesmaid dress plus ordering it and the men's clothes.

The other wedding plan that's progressing is losing a bit of weight ready for dress fitting on 19 Feb.  I started on 04 Jan and have a target of losing 8lbs by then.  So far I've lost 4lbs so I'm doing well.  I suspect the food poisoning helped though!
